What is the material of the wig?

We offer a wide range of materials, including high-quality heat-resistant synthetic fibers (economical, durable and beautiful) and 100% human hair (the most natural, freely dyeable and permable). Please refer to the details page for specific product materials.

Most wigs are standard sizes (average head circumference of about 54-57 cm) and fit most people. Before purchasing, measure your head circumference (from the forehead hairline to your ears to the back of your occipital bone) and check against the size chart on the product detail page. We have a small number of products that are adjustable in size or have small/large options.

The service life depends on the material, the frequency of maintenance and the way it is used. With careful care, high-quality synthetic wigs typically last for 5-9 months, while real hair wigs can last for more than 2 years or more. Avoiding high temperatures, excessive friction, and improper cleaning can extend the service life.

Alma recommends: Use a dedicated wig shampoo and conditioner; Wash gently with cold or lukewarm water to avoid friction; Dry naturally on a wig rack, away from direct sunlight and heat sources; When storing, place it back in the holder or in its original packaging. Please refer to the product detail page or our care instructions for specific care guidelines.

 Only synthetic wigs labeled “heat–resistant“ should be styled on low settings (typically up to 160°C/320°F) and should be done as soon as possible. Synthetic fibers that are not heat-resistant and human hair wigs (which can be used with real human hair) should not be used with high-temperature tools, otherwise they will melt or be damaged. Be sure to check the heat resistance of the product before use.

We opted for lightweight designs and breathable inner nets (e.g. lace mesh, monochrome tops, etc.) that are comfortable and breathable to wear. High-quality wigs have natural hair strands and a realistic design that simulates the scalp. Choosing the right size and style can significantly improve comfort and naturalness.

 Real hair wig: You can perm your hair like dyeing your own hair (it is recommended to find a professional to do it). Synthetic wigs: It is not advisable to use regular hair dyes or perm potions as they can damage the hair strands. Only hair dye products specific to synthetic fibers may be effective, but they are not recommended and the risks are high.

 Our wigs are factory and the basic styling is done. However, in order to achieve the effect that best suits your face shape and personal style, you can find a professional hairstylist to fine-tune and trim it according to your personal eye (bangs, sideburns, length grading, etc.) after receiving the product.

Most wigs have an internal adjustment buckle (buckle or velcro) and non-slip silicone strips that can be worn directly on your own hair or hairnet. For more stable results (e.g., strenuous activity), wig double-sided tape or wig adhesive can be used in combination with (sold separately). Detail pages usually contain instructions for wearing them.
